How We Can Help…
How can Regain Physical Therapy help my golf game?
Regain has a certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) physical therapist on staff who has been extensively trained in the “body-swing connection.”
The Titleist performance Institute has strong and deep roots in the golf industry, which has allowed it to study thousands of golfers and work with the top players in the world. Using this data, they are able to teach and certify health care professionals to help golfers maximize ball-striking ability while minimizing and preventing injury.
If you don’t have pain…
Most golfers have problems with flexibility, stability, strength, endurance, and/or balance which can make it difficult or impossible to perform the movement patterns that are recommended, even if there is no pain. The TPI Screening is designed to identify and address these (potential) issues. The screening includes several tests that will uncover any physical limitations (e.g. limited mobility in the right hip, instability in the ankle, etc.), and then the TPI certified physical therapist will design a program to improve these areas of weakness in order to improve performance and limit risk of future pain.
If you have pain…
Golf injuries are often caused by the above-mentioned physical imbalances and poor body mechanics when swinging. Our TPI certified physical therapist is specifically trained in the treatment of the typical golfer’s aches and pains and can help prevent and correct such injuries to get you back in the game. If you have an injury or pain that requires physical therapy, your treatment can typically be covered by insurance.
